Sari Palmgren:
The age of five I danced in front of the TV wanting to get the attention in the moment. Now I dance, because I want to get the attention for the world state through physicality.
I work with stage productions, site-specific works, events, dancefilms and community art projects. I'm interested in influencing, various truths and how they are formed: the formation processes of truth. I often dive into the unknown, where I continue to examine the issue through documentary means.
Rhythm is important for me and kinetic performative element. As a dancer I try to look for the momentum, and as a choreographer for the moment when the dance takes over the dancer and spectator. My recent works have dealt with the human animalistic side, mortality, and the state of the environment.
I'm interested what ignites people.
