MORTAL ROAD MOVIE -project (2014-2019)
Mortal road movie is a multi-year journey to mortality in different continents and cities. Project has two outcomes: Documentary dance film and stage performances. The work involves local people in the planning of the work through workshops, meetings and interviews. Mortal Road Movie is based on these meetings, the performers relationship to mortality, road trip videos and movement. First part of the project was in Finland/ Kajaani 2014, second part was in West-Africa/Benin/Togo 2015, third part is in Hongkong 2017-2018. All different parts are going to be in the Mortal road movie dance documentary film.
Traveling is continuous movement and change, the stillness of death as its opposite.
